Angela is a textile artist based in Whitehead with vast experience in costume design, bridal, couture sewing and millinery. She is also proprietor of Leopard & Lilly – specialising in face masks & aprons.
She took inspiration from Kate Murphy’s mystical tale of “The Selkie” a legend of half human, half fish people, seals in water but human form on land.
Angela created an eye-catching Selkie Cloak using textiles coloured by natural dyeing methods. It is double sided symbolising the two forms of life.
